Gran Fondo Isle of Man powered by Santander International will return in 2024, with the 9th edition of the event scheduled to take place on the 27th and 28th of July.

The event is again part of the prestigious UCI Gran Fondo World Series, which gives amateur riders the chance to compete in their age category in qualification events staged globally. Riders who qualify can go on to represent their country in the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Championships which will take place in Aalborg, Denmark in August 2024.

Gran Fondo Isle of Man is the final qualification event in 2024 and the only event set to be staged in the British Isles, with entries expected to be in high demand.

As well as the main 137km closed roads Gran Fondo and Individual Time Trial events, the ever-popular supporting events will also return as part of the overall weekend schedule.

In a change to previous years, the 72km Medio Fondo will now become the UCI Gran Fondo World Series qualification race for all men's over 60 categories and women's categories over 50. The Medio Fondo also remains open to all other riders wanting to enjoy closed roads riding over a challenging yet rewarding route.

Meanwhile the beginner friendly Piccolo Fondo will once again take in a 32km route around the Island’s mostly flat northern lanes, with Saturday’s Minisculo Fondo making a welcome return around the 1km closed roads Mooragh Park course, popular with children and families looking to enjoy some riding in a safe and picturesque setting.

The event will also feature an expanded Riders Village featuring a range of amenities for participants and supporters alike, including some of the Island’s best street food, bike servicing and retail, big screen cycling action and entertainment.

Entries for Gran Fondo Isle of Man powered by Santander International open on January 1st with three-tiered price points for what are a limited number of entries.
